The Common Admission Test (CAT) exam is conducted by IIMs every year on a rotational basis for the admissions to management courses to the elite IIMs of India. The CAT exam is considered as the top-level entrance exam for management admissions in India and even abroad.
Indian Institutes of Management (IIM)
IIMs are considered as India’s premier national institutes providing quality management education and research. IIMs primarily offer post graduate, doctoral and executive education programmes. The flagship programme of IIMs is the two-year post-graduate programme. These two-year programmes are residential in nature. The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is a full time doctoral level programme in management and is equivalent to a Ph.D. programme. The Executive Post Graduate Management programmes are targeted at working professionals.
The Indian Institutes of Management are leading institutions providing management education in India with the older IIMs having been established more than 50 years ago. Today, there are 20 IIMs established in different parts of India.
Common Admission Test (CAT)
The CAT exam is the top most management entrance exam for elite colleges of India like IIMs. CAT exam is a gateway to get admissions to management courses in the top management colleges of country such as IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM-Kolkata, IIM-Lucknow, IIM- Indore, IIM- Kozhikode, IIM-Shillong, IIM-Raipur, IIM-Ranchi, IIM-Rohtak, IIM-Kashipur, IIM-Tiruchirappalli, IIM-Udaipur, IIM-Amritsar, IIM-Bodh Gaya, IIM-Nagpur, IIM-Sambalpur, IIM-Sirmaur, IIM- Visakhapatnam, IIM-Jammu.
The CAT exam is considered as the toughest exam for management entrance exams in the country. Only the cream of the talent pool will be able to crack this exam with dedication and hard work.

The students who have completed their degree in any stream with 50% aggregate and are interested to join PGDM courses in top colleges of the country can apply for the CAT exam 2021-2022.
The CAT Exam is conducted by Computer Based (Online) mode. The aspirants have to attend the specific exam centres mentioned in their hall tickets for taking up CAT exam. The CAT exam consists of 100 MCQ questions marks and time available is 2-hours or 120 minutes. The questions are divided across different sections
