The Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) was established in 2003 to provide proactive support to professional education & facilitate & streamline admission to postgraduate professional courses of PGDM in colleges of Bangalore and Karnataka. 

The KPPGCA conducts KMAT exam every year for admissions to PGDM courses in colleges of Bangalore and Karnataka. KMAT is the gateway to more than 169 + AICTE-approved University-affiliated B-schools in Bangalore and Karnataka.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT)

The KMAT exam is a State Level Entrance Exam for admission to PGDM courses offered by different colleges of Karnataka. The test facilitates AICTE affiliated institutions to select suitable candidates for admission to the different PGDM courses in top institutions of Karnataka. The KMAT exam is conducted across 10 cities in Karnataka and is open to all eligible students interested to join PGDM courses in Karnataka and Bangalore colleges.

The KMAT exam is conducted through Offline (Paper Based) and is of two hours duration of 120 marks.Know more about KMAT.

Eligibility

The students who have completed their degree in any stream with 50% aggregate and are interested to join PGDM courses in top colleges of Bangalore and Karnataka can apply for the KMAT exam.

Application Process for KMAT Exam

  • Registration: The eligible students who are interested to PGDM courses offered in colleges of Karnataka and Bangalore have to register themselves through online for KMAT Exam
  • Application Form: After the registration the students have to fill all the required details without any mistakes. Because once the form is submitted the filled details cannot be changed or modified. So, please be cautious while filling the application form
  • Application Fee: After application is filled the students have to pay the specified KMAT application fee. The students can pay the fees by two modes offline and online.
    • Online Mode: The students can pay the application fees through credit/debit card or Net Banking
    • Offline Mode: The students can pay by bank challan through offline through Cheque/Demand Draft (DD) in the name of “Fees for KMAT Exam by KPPGCA” payable in Bangalore
  • Hall Ticket: The hall tickets are sent to the registered email Ids and registered mobile numbers that were provided at the time of application form. The students have to download from the student’s portal
  • Exam Day: The students have to take the exam at the designated exam centres mentioned on their hall tickets
  • Announcement of Answer Keys: After the KMAT exam the KPPGCA announces the official answer keys, the students can verify their answer responses with the official answer keys
  • Result Day: The KPPGCA announces KMAT results and the students who qualify the KMAT exam can attend the counselling sessions to choose their seats and confirm their admissions 

Exam Format and Syllabus

The KMAT exam is conducted through Paper Based offline mode at specified exam centres. The KMAT exam is Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based and consists of 120 questions that are divided across 3 different sections. The duration of the KMAT exam is 2-Hours. 

There is No Negative Marking for the wrong answers.
