The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is conducted by XLRI (Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur) for admissions to PGDM courses across the country.

The XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) or (Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur) will conduct the XAT exam for PGDM admissions in more than 600+ management institutions across India. The XLRI is one of the oldest and the top organisations that conducts national level XAT entrance exam for management courses in India and abroad.

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)

The XAT exam is a Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) based objective test and is one of the most popular national level management entrance exams in India that is conducted every year for PGDM admissions. The aspiring students can take up XAT exam four times a year and can join the top management colleges in the country. The XAT exam is approved by AICTE and is recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education Government of India.

Application Process for XAT Exam

Step 1: XAT Portal Registration

  • The eligible students who have completed their graduation in any stream with 50 % aggregate from recognised university are eligible to apply for XAT Exam
  • Register online for XAT exam to get access to online portal

Step 2: Application Form Fill up

  • The students have to login to their student portals and fill the online application form with no mistakes, because once details filled and submitted cannot be changed or modified, so be cautious  
  • Upload scanned copies of the specified documents details such as Marks Cards, Passport Photos, address proofs etc

Step 3: Application Fee Payment

  • After uploading the documents they are required to pay the application fees through online using Credit/Debit Cards or Net Banking to complete their application process
  • After successful fee payment the receipts will be sent to the registered email Ids and registered mobile numbers

Step 4: Hall Ticket Download

  • The students will receive their hall tickets on their registered email ids and registered mobile numbers
  • The students have to download their hall tickets by logging in with their unique user’s name and password

Step 5: Exam Day

  • The aspirants are required to give the XAT exam through Computer Based-Test (Online) at the designated exam centres
  • The aspirants are required to attend the XAT exam at the designated exam centres mentioned on their Hall Tickets 

Step 6: Answer Keys and Result Day

  • The XLRI announces the answer keys and the students can compare their answers with the official answer keys released by XLRI
  • The students who have qualified the XAT exam will receive their XAT test scores on their registered email Ids and mobile numbers
  • With the XAT test scores the students can apply for PGDM admissions in top colleges of India

Eligibility for XAT Exam

The aspiring students who have completed their degree in any stream with 50% aggregate marks from the recognised university are eligible to apply for the XAT exam.  The candidates who are in the final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply to the XAT exam. The minimum age criteria required for applying for the XAT exam is 21 years.
